Today I’m sharing a spookily special and gleefully ghoulish new series for readers aged 6+. Welcome to Grim Falls Academy where supernatural children go to learn.
“Something weird is happening at Grim Falls Academy… and that’s saying something for a school for supernatural kids! The teachers are growing tentacles, the headmaster has locked himself in his office and there’s a new human student attending too. But with the school inspector’s visit looming, can Seb and Victor discover the root of the problem before it gets totally out of control?”
“The Mad Science teacher is looking slimy, strange globs are eating everything and Tabby keeps turning into goo! But when everyone in school goes missing, can Seb, Victor and Tabby solve the mystery and stop the slime?”
“A pesky troll is wreaking havoc and the school has been turned into one massive forest! But when Seb makes a wish he can’t take back, will he, Victor and Tabby manage to get everything back to normal and discover the truth?”
I think lots of children will be surprised to relate to some of the issues faced by the students of Grim Falls Academy. Possibly not with teachers sprouting tentacles or mysterious gluey globules on the loose, but definitely to the desire to be accepted for being yourself or dealing with the class bully.
This series is a lot of fun with all sorts of spooky antics going on. which I think readers will love. The generous helping of illustrations in each of these books adds to the humour and will help readers imagine themselves right there with Seb and the gang.
