Hiiiiiiiiiisssssssss!!! Look away now if you think you don’t like snakes.  I’ve noticed some Year 4 children I know getting friendly with an albino python named Apollo.  They’ve been writing persuasive texts in response to a very clever new book by the fantastic Nicola Davies.  An unusual mix of fiction and non-fiction with brilliantly detailed illustrations and diagrams (by Luciano Lozano) – a must for all reptile enthusiasts!

This book tells the story of a girl whose family all love snakes but she does not.  Can they change her mind with scientific facts?  Highly recommended for children of all ages.
