This is the third fangtastic instalment in the brilliant series about a sparky little vampire in a dark and gloomy world.
In this adventure, Amelia and her pals: Florence the yeti, Grimaldi the Death and Prince Tangine, plus pet pumpkin, Squashy must bravely enter the terrifying Kingdom of Light to try to find Tangine’s missing mother, Queen Fairyweather.
They have a clue which directs them to the sparkling city of Glitteropolis where the inhabitants of the Kingdom of Light are flocking after a series of mysterious disappearances in the Petrified Forest. Amelia is not convinced by the Unicorn Lords’ explanation and smells something rotten afoot – or it could just be the sickly pink mist with strange powers wafting through the air.
Can Amelia and the gang solve the mystery AND find Tangine’s long-lost mother at the same time? Or will they miss the final Rainbow Rail out of Glitteropolis and be trapped there forever?!
A shimmering, glittery adventure with a generous dollop of slug slime and mystery for readers aged seven and up. Quirky characters, dark humour (sprayed purple edges) and unicorns make for a winning combination. Love this series!
