Blog tour: ‘Peng and Spanners,’ by Steve Webb.

There’s a new superhero duo in town – one has super ninja powers and the other is a so-called ‘genius engineer.’ Introducing Peng and Spanners: the unlikely crime-fighting pairing of penguin and cat! With a penchant for pizza and an aptitude for inventions, these two friends vow to get Pizza Pete’s Pizza Place back in its rightful place before the school inspectors notice.

“When the school pizza parlour disappears and a giant robot suddenly appears, Pengtastic and Spanners know that only they can help the headmaster find his parlour before the school inspectors arrive and shut him down. There’s just one massive pesky robot to defeat, Cinderella the caretaker, who roars about rules and an incredible jail break to get out of first.”

Fans of funny are absolutely going to love the wise-cracking, more-than-slightly-sarcastic penguin Peng as he navigates being sent to ‘Boredom School.’ The slightly eccentric, engineer cat, Spanners adds an element madcap humour which readers (and Peng) are really going to appreciate.

The bold illustrations, brilliantly funny plot line, and the promise of free pizza (drawings) inside will see this title flying off the shelves!
