Blog tour: ‘Monsieur Mustard: The Disappearance of Fabio Fangtooth,’ by Charley Rabbit.

I would like to introduce you to the world’s greatest (and most sophisticated) mouse detective: Monsieur Mustard – star of a brand new, highly-illustrated detective series for readers ages 7+ to enjoy.

“One evening, way past your bedtime, all was quiet in the city of Bath. Fabio Fangtooth was finishing his alphabet soup. When suddenly . . . Whoomp! . . . he disappeared.
Yes, my friends, this is the most SPINE-TINGLING, CLAW-BITING, POOT POOT IN YOUR PANTALOONS mystery that Monsieur Mustard has ever set his little eyes upon.

Can our hero crack the case with the villain hot on his tail?”

Monsieur Mustard is certainly one of the most debonair detectives I have ever come across in children’s literature. His slightly windy and unwanted sidekick is the perfect foil.

Budding super-sleuths will enjoy tracking the clues across the pages as they follow in Mustard’s paw prints. They will need to be sure to pay attention to the bountiful illustrations as they sometimes giveaway more than the text itself – a great way to encourage real focus and immersion in the book!

There is just the right balance of mild peril, humour, and mystery to keep readers hooked until the culprit is revealed. I would recommend this for readers aged 7+

Jo.
