I was delighted to be invited to participate in the blog tour for this beautiful mother-daughter collaboration.
The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea, in a box on the living room floor. They sailed away for a year and a day and these are the things that they saw… Join two curious children on a quirky adventure, loosely based on the classic Edward Lear poem, The Owl and the Pussycat.
I really enjoyed this twist on a classic, where we see ‘owl’ and ‘pussycat’ travel around the globe, encountering a giant octopus, duelling pirates and musical clownfish.
The illustrations and beautiful and full of quirky little details and jokes which I enjoyed spotting.
The rhythm and rhyme of the words are sure to delight young listeners and the story will inspire their imaginations.
You can find further information HERE on Goodreads.
Happy adventuring!
