I was super-excited to be sent a copy of the third instalment of this prize-winning series. It still features Luke, StarBoy and all their superhuman friends, but with the genius addition of an inter-dimensional toilet!
After crash-landing Zorbon the Decider’s spacecraft in IKEA, Luke (aka Stellar, aka Evil Twin) sets off to find the parallel universe version of his family, who he calculates should be fast asleep in their beds….
The arrival of ‘Other Luke,’ as he annoyingly refuses to be called, signals the start of trouble for our Luke and the other members of S.C.A.R.F (the Superhero Covert Alliance Reaction Force).
Luke is convinced that his super doppelgänger is up to no good, but nobody else seems to agree. Can Luke expose Other Luke for who he really is? Or will the evil lookalike see his wicked plan come to fruition?
It’s going to require all of Real Luke’s cunning and comic book know how to persuade his friends he’s right and to foil Stellar’s plot. But can he do it before it’s too late?
I’m a huge fan of this series – it’s full of laughs, thrills, spills and comic book ‘in jokes.’ I love the fact this book gently makes fun of the superhero genre – disguising a spacecraft as an IKEA installation? Genius!
A true tale of sibling rivalry on an intergalactic scale.
