‘Anthology of Amazing Women,’ by Sandra Lawrence, illustrations by Nathan Collins.

‘Trailblazers who dared to be different.’

This year has already provided many fantastic excuses to celebrate amazing women. We’ve had the 100th anniversary of the first women gaining the right to vote in this country, and on the 8th March, it’s International Women’s Day.  If you consider these events excellent reasons to buy a new book, look no further than the ‘Anthology of Amazing Women.’

What I especially loved about this book was the fact that it had well known modern day heroines who people may already know about, but also some hidden gems of awesomeness from the past who I had previously not heard of but was totally inspired by.

Engaging, gorgeous and inspirational, covering achievements in: sport, science, the arts, politics and history, there is something there for everyone – this book is not just for girls!
