Beaky Malone is back. The world’s favourite liar still can’t lie and now fame is calling. Surely a few little truths couldn’t hurt…?
As a result of his sister shoving him into Madame Shirley’s truth-telling machine, Beaky Malone can no longer tell a lie. This could be the cause of major humiliation – will Beaky be able to keep his feelings about classmate, Evie, to himself? Or bite his tongue when mum asks him what he thinks about her PTA campaign? Or convince the producers of TVs Most Talented Pets that Destructo (his faithful pet dog) can actually ride a bike?
There’s so much to worry about before he even starts to THINK about his starring role in the school’s futuristic production of ‘Romeo and Juliet.’
Another great instalment in the Beaky Malone series. Packed full of the anarchy, laughs and suspicious smells we’ve come to expect from the hilarious author, Barry Hutchison. Heavily illustrated by the off-beat Katie Abey who’s quirky illustrative style forms a dream pairing with the deadpan humour of the text. Definitely not the story to choose to read under the covers when you should be asleep – as Book Boy can attest!
Watch out for the other fab titles in this series as well:
Library Girl.
