Ottoline and her hairy companion, Mr Munroe, were busy planning a dinner party when then bumped into the rather suave Purple Fox.  In return for them giving him some ‘tresures’ Unearthed from the boxes in Ottoline’s wardrobe, the  Purple Fox offers to take them on an urban safari at the stroke of midnight.

In addition to blue flamingoes and sewer-dwelling meerkats, the friends uncover anonymous love poems stick to lampposts  all over the city.  Their urban safari turns into a quest to find the lovelorn poet and help mend his broken heart.

Everything Chris Riddell illustrates is pure magic, and the Ottoline series is no exception.  Stunning illustrations packed full of witty details and some strong style choices for Ottoline – I have a major case of wardrobe-envy!

New readers will fall in love with the independent and quirky Ottoline whereas long-time fans will delight in another imagination-filled adventure.
