To round off this year’s book advent, I have a lovely picture book from Little Door Books.

Everybody loves the stars but have you ever loved them enough to steal them? Not just one or two, but all of them? When a little girl decides she wants a real star of her own, she writes a letter to Santa asking for a ladder to reach the stars.
When Santa delivers exactly what she’d asked for, she can’t resist taking them all. What the little girl doesn’t realise is that taking the stars will have disastrous consequences for her and millions of other children around the world. But what will it take for her to give them back?

This would be a great choice to encourage children to think carefully about the consequences of their actions, not just for themselves but for others too. It also has themes of sharing and only taking what you need from the environment.
Beautiful illustrations and a thought-provoking storyline makes this a good read for anyone aged 3+
Library Girl.
*Many thanks to Little Door Books for sending me this title to review*
I loved the whole concept of this book when I read your post on it. I have put it on my “must buy list” for my granddaughter who is not yet two.
