#TuesdayReviewsDay ‘Super Stan’ by Elaine Wickson, illustrated by Chris Judge.

As part of our home-schooling timetable, #BookBoy and #BookBoyJr will be writing book reviews to go on the blog. Our very first review, of ‘Super Stan,’ has been composed by #BookBoy who had his nose buried in it all weekend!

Title: Super Stan

Author: Elaine Wickson

Illustrator: Chris Judge

Publisher: Oxford University Press

Synopsis: This is the third in Elaine’s #Lollies2020 nominated ‘Stan’ series. Packed brimful with pie charts, graphs and doodles, this is such a super-readable series for anyone aged 9+.

In this instalment, Stan is desperate to watch the total eclipse but his plans are being overshadowed by his little brother Fred’s one-man-mission to stop the oceans becoming awash with plastic. Fred’s roping in everyone he knows to support his cause. But there are other things which need saving too. Enter Super Stan!

Book Boy’s Review: A brilliant book for any of you that have an annoying brother and/or sister. In addition, it is one of those books that you simply cannot put down. Finally, it includes a handy system to tell readers what mood the main character is in at that point in time.

Full of humour and heart – you definitely won’t regret ordering this in from your friendly online retailer!

Library Girl.

*Many thanks to Oxford University Press for sending us this title to review*
